Are You Getting Old or Are We Shite is a satire song from 1993 making fun of Brit-Pop band "Suede" and Brit-Pop itself.
Lyrics:
You might have seen the poster for the album we're flogging
It's the tasteful artistic one of the two birds snogging
And now you turn on your TV at your children's suggestion
You listen to our music, can you ask yourself the question
Are you getting old or are we shite
Have you got it wrong and our fans got it right
Are you a middle aged git who's gone all up tight
Are you getting old or are we shite
You used to be a rebel even bought a pair of loons
And now you long for the days when songs had tunes
You don't like loud music now, you've lost all your passion
And even more worrying
the loons are back in fashion
Are you getting old or are we shite
Would you rather get down or get a nice early night
Does the strobe on our video strain your eyesight
Are you getting old
Are you getting old
Are you getting old
No. You're Shite!
Are you getting old or are we shite
Are you getting old or are we shite
