Mel Brooks (1926) is a American film director, actor and comedian, best known for his brash, offensive comedies full of vulgar jokes and Jewish stereotypes. His most famous films are "The Producers", "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein".

He was caricatured as a mad joker. In one sketch he tries to convince Jack Nicholson to play the part of Gene Wilder in his next film, because Wilder cannot act, only pause brilliantly.
